General Event Information

  • Except for service animals, no pets are allowed due to the nature of this event.
  • Employer set up begins anytime after 8:30 am. 11:00 lunch begins for employer participants only. *To go containers are available for employer participants only. 
  • This college-exclusive annual event is for all College of Engineering Students, Alumni, Faculty and Staff.......please stop by the headquarter tent or the water tent to get your hand stamped to eat lunch, which begins at 11:30. 
  • Parking passes will ONLY be given to registered employer participants.    Alumni and Students will need to park in designated lots/decks and are responsibile for thier own parking costs. 
  • Nicer-casual dress attire is recommended for all participants. Students and alumni are encouraged to bring several copies of their resume if they are seeking an internship, co-ops or full time job. 

The fall picnic is organized by the college’s Office of Student Development and Success, and has been a tradition for the past several years. It is the perfect environment for our own 4000+ students, 225+ faculty, and awesome alumni, as well as engineering, technical and business professionals from industry to establish relationships, network, and discuss career options in a casual setting.

Each year we have 1800+ people attending the picnic! You are encouraged to bring a good supply of marketing and product materials and bring as many folks as you wish to interact with our students, alumni and faculty. Company participants can bring anything short of explosives and weapons, such as product samples, pictures, machines, prototypes, equipment, along with marketing brochures, business cards, candy, games and giveaways. These items offer a great opportunity to engage students and have them learn about your company and do not forget to invite your employees who are UNC Charlotte alumni!

We encourage you to wear company shirts or hats and wear your company name tag however ALL participants will receive blank name tag and a UNC Charlotte green lanyard. (49er Gold Company Participants will receive pre-printed name tags).

Reminder: carpooling is recommended since parking at times can be limiting.  Parking is always a challenge on our campus, please park in designated areas. We cannot responsible for parking tickets. The Campus Map can help you with parking options.

Going GREEN Level $600  (filled up)

  • Lunch for ALL participants (no limits)

  • Blank name tag and UNC Charlotte, COENGR lanyard for each of the participants
  • 3 parking passes for the Cone or Union Parking Deck 
  • Company name and website listed in multi-page event program, flat screen TVs in all engineering buildings, all mass emails, and college website

Winning WHITE Level  $300 (filled up)

  • 6-ft display table & 2 chairs
  • Lunch for ALL participants (no limits)
  • White-colored table sign and white table cover
  • Blank name tag and  UNC Charlotte, COENGR for each of the participants
  • 2 parking passes for the Cone or Union Parking Deck
  • Company name listed in multi-page event program, several mass emails and college website

Professional Societies and Organizations, (filled up)

We kindly request that all payments be received by 9/16/19. Cancellation Policy, we hate to have one but we do. 10 days propr to the event date we cannot issue a refund. In case of inclement weather, we will set up inside the Student Activity Center however, please contact our main office at (704) 687-1991 or 687-1993 to confirm that decision.
